We know, it’s not a surprise that the Westboro Baptist “Church” gang is planning to protest any event even remotely related to LGBT equality. So with Rhode Island set to begin legal same-sex weddings on August 1, naturally the Topeka, Kansas-based hate group is planning a protest bright and early at city halls in Cranston, Providence and Pawtucket.
WBC has even distributed a flyer to help educate all of us hell-bound sinners, saying:
This stupid country thinks it can, by popular vote, and by a ruling by the godless United States Supreme Court overrule Jesus Christ when it comes to fag marriage. How stupid is that?
It seems the Phelps clan has forgotten that old proverb about the pot calling the kettle black, not to mention that New Testament verse that goes (paraphrasing here) “Let he who is without sin cast the first stone.” Take a close look at the highlighted portion of the flyer above. Notice any misspellings? Now who are you calling stupid and illiterate, haters?
If you care, you can see the full flyer here.
How about we take this to the next level?
Our newsletter is like a refreshing cocktail (or mocktail) of LGBTQ+ entertainment and pop culture, served up with a side of eye-candy.

While there is nothing untrue in the article, and in fact it is mildly amusing, it’s really not Queerty’s place to call others out on illiteracy, given the horrendous offences against the English language this site has committed over the years. Pot/kettle applies to you too.
whatisthis
@EdWoody: That’s so unfortunately true.

Excuse me, but come someone reference the bible quote attributed to Jesus that state unequivocally that marriage is between 1 man and 1 woman. Because my bible states that marriage is between 1 man and hundreds of women, as well as concubines and rape victims. Did I miss something somewhere?

I always wondered why they don’t show up 95% of the time – maybe they’re too “illerate” to read the road signs?
blackberry_riot
I’m not sure if I’m illerate, I never checked…
RedBlissKid
It’s just Cranston and Pawtucket. Not Cranston City and Pawtucket City.

Too bad a tornado couldn’t touch down on their houses.
Redpalacebulleaglesox
Can we just relegate these folks to the dustbin already?

How about a SHARKNADO…. LOL
Fitz
You don’t call it Cranston City. You call it
“That white-trash living hell called Cranston”.
Vartan X.
@Harley:
Well, Bible doesn’t really say what marriage is, but you know it was meant to be “Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve” or some other ridiculous argument.

I would not want to have these disgusting haters at my wedding (or funeral). They have done us a favor by making the faces of hate so disturbingly creepy that under-the-surface-haters over-compensate not to be like them. When Christ returns, I’d rather be holding the hand of a woman than a sign, stating whom God hates.

I await the day/age that every time THEY use the word “fag,” there is a two-day strike/sit-in on the Topeka capitol’s legislature. Until then, I’ll ask why lawyers are protesting laws: it’s like they’re burning their lawyer draftcards for pity party.

When I have power, I will bulldoze my Compound and we will hire Maya Lin to make a memorial featuring the name of every LBGT suicide in America since Fred appeared on Ricky Lake.
