Ricky Martin drops a new track with Pitbull called Mr. Put It Down, the first single off Martin’s 11th studio album. He might be putting it down, but we’re definitely picking it up.
Jared Leto reveals he was a teenage stripper. No word yet on if he’ll be starring in Magic Mike XXXL.
In the battle of fraternal vs. identical gay twins, who will win?! The charming Monastero brother help settle the score.
Jim Parsons gets a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, due in large part to the mega success of the largely unwatchable CBS comedy The Big Bang Theory.
How about we take this to the next level?
Our newsletter is like a refreshing cocktail (or mocktail) of LGBTQ+ entertainment and pop culture, served up with a side of eye-candy.
Transgender teen activist Jazz Jennings lands a TLC reality show, which will show her “juggling her foray into high school while navigating how a transgender teen approaches dating and sleepovers all while avoiding male puberty.”
Before Jamie Dornan spanked his way into the box office, the role of Christian Grey was offered to legacy hunk Scott Eastwood. He turned it down for a variety of reasons including full-frontal nudity. Oh, how we wish he hadn’t.
J.T.
Poor Jim Parsons. Becoming mega-famous for starting in an unwatchable show and playing the most repellent TV character ever created. Very sad really for a once serious actor.
Alan down in Florida
@J.T.: Get a grip. There is not an hour of the day that the Big Bang Theory isn’t playing on TV. Here in South Florida you can watch as many as 10 episodes a day between the various channels. Hundreds of millions of viewers prove that it is more than eminently watchable. As for Jim Parsons playing the most repellent TV character ever created it is the balance of pitiful and pitiable that Jim Parsons tightropes every week so brilliantly that grounds the show. Sure he behaves horribly but he’s a 5 year old spoiled brat in the body of a 35 year old. And he’s laughing at haters like you all the way to the bank in the amount of a million bucks an episode.
Xzamilio
@Alan down in Florida: Not to mention the millions he’ll be making the rest of his life in rerun royalties and residuals. Hell, the cast of Friends is still making millions off of that show running in syndication.
ingyaom
Jim Parsons will be 42 next week. How old is he supposed to be on tv?
dhmonarch89
if Big Bang is unwatchable- then Queerty is the most miserable, god awful excuse for journalism, hell- the written word EVER!
Jokes on Scott, No frontal i n 50 Shades. Poor Scott Eastwood- Jamie Dornan is apparently a much bigger star- producers took him and he refused to do frontal nudity, Scott wasn’t big enough to make such a demand.
joey
so why would anyone say big bang is not watchable??? alan is correct this show is HUGELY popular
jimstoic
Scott Eastwood was not offered the role of Christian Grey. He read for the role and decided it wasn’t for him before they could make an offer.
Captain Obvious
Everyone has shows they like… not like we all have to love the same things. I hate The Big Bang Theory and my sister absolutely loves it. Just not my brand of comedy, I have nothing against the fans of the show. Now Two and a Half Men on the other hand… why? Just why.

@dhmonarch89: No, they’re right, I have tried and tried with that show. It is terrible. It has the intellectual equivalent less than that of Sesame Street. But if it makes you feel any better I can’t think of a non-animated or non-sketch comedy show that isn’t just as bad these days (except It’s Always Sunny). Also, I don’t understand the point of Fifty Shades without any full frontals. Why kind of erotic fiction adaptation for “women” has no nudity (I’m looking at you, too Magic Mike!!)
sfhally
@dhmonarch89: There’s your mistake–thinking of Queerty and journalism at the same time. Besides, hating BBT is one of those things the cool hipster kids do.
Rocinante
BBT is the only sitcom I find watchable so I guess this a great example of why we have choices and menus.
The story of Jared Leto is useless without picures. He is my dream celebrity sex partner, something tells me man or woman he would be a great lover.
adambravo
“Unwatchable”? Maybe you have to have grown up as a geek to appreciate (although my partner–and millions of others, not to mention the Emmy Awards) would argue otherwise…
jwtraveler
I don’t know why people say Big Bang is unwatchable. It’s one of the funniest, most cleverly written sitcoms ever on TV. It’s such a refreshing change from all the idiocy that usually passes for comedy. As an intelligent human being, I’ve always found intelligence to be much funnier than stupidity, which is often mistaken for comedy.
jwtraveler
Those twins made me feel so old.
IvanPH
Big Bang Theory is unwatchable? It’s millions of viewers and countless Emmy nominations say otherwise.
NJjoe
Firat of all a big Congratulations to Jim Parsons on his star on Hollywood Blvd. Much deserved even though the “star” must pay for the piece of concrete.
BBT (unwatchable? Really?) is one of the funniest, entertianing shows on television and his perfomances on stage and screen in “The Normal Heart” were simply incredible.
Now Scott Eastwood? What a hottie!! I have not seen “Fifty Shades of Grey” and really have no intention in doing so, yet if Eastwood had taken the role, I’d probably would have seen in 50 times by now. Maybe Eastwood has a small pee-pee?
crowebobby
Parsons’ BBT persona reminds me of Clifton Webb characters in some of his old comedies. And Kunal Nayyar (Rajesh Koothrappali) is an adorable character. He doesn’t turn me on, but he shows some impressive bulge every once in a while . . . if anyone is interested.
scotshot
@J.T.: @Alan down in Florida: Sheldon isn’t repellant, he’s autistic.
Professor Fate
Gotta love this hit on the very talented and funny Jim Parsons by the “Editors” of queerty. What poor boys, didn’t Jim give you that interview you wanted?? Or he didn’t have a twin or pic of him dripping wet in the ocean that would fit in with your style?
Brendan
“the mega success of the largely unwatchable CBS comedy The Big Bang Theory” So I’m not the only one that wonders how a show can be so successful yet not that funny? For the longest time I thought that maybe I just didn’t get the jokes.. that I was missing the point, after all if it was that popular it must be funny, right? Guess not. Glad that I’m not the only one not loving the show.
Brendan
@scotshot: No he’s not. The creator of the show has repeatedly said that he’s not autistic, he’s just Sheldon.
jwtraveler
@scotshot: @Brendan: Maybe a bit Asperger’s with a little savant and OCD thrown in. But remember, he’s not a real person; he’s a character on a TV sitcom.
jjose712
Big bang theory is unwatchable for people who don’t understand their jokes, but fortunately for that people tv has two and a half men (which i find unwatchable, but hey, it has tons of fans)
Realitycheck
@jwtraveler:
jwt, I have to confess I sometime watch the Monastero twins on youtube,
the above episode is not one of the best, but yes they are like 21,
so anyone would feel old……
YouGoGurl
Poor Jazz, about to be exploited by trash TV and the notoriously homophobic TLC network. Wrong move. Who is advising this kid and her family? They might as well explore giving her a show on TWN or EWTN.
MarionPaige
Oops, in re Scott Eastwood being The New Face for DAVIDOFF Cool Water …
I’s pretty sure the previous Face (or one of the previous faces) was PAUL WALKER.
