Tickets are now available for Peaches Christ’s stage production of ‘The Wizard of Oz’ featuring Sharon Needles as the Wicked Witch Of The West. The official name of the production is ‘The Wizard of Odd.’
The show is one night only on July 12th at the Castro Theater in San Francisco.
This performance marks the third-annual on-stage collaboration between Peaches and Sharon. In 2012 they performed together in ‘The Silence of the Trans’ (‘The Silence of the Lambs’) and in 2013 they performed ‘The Craft.’ The 2013 performance also included former RuPaul’s Drag Race contestants Alaska Thunderfuck and Honey Mahogany.
Although this year’s show is only schedule for one day, there will be two performances: 3pm and 8pm. Additionally, after the show the original 1939 film will be shown. We highly recommend you purchase tickets as soon as possible because the show sold out quickly last year.
How about we take this to the next level?

In addition to Sharon Needles as the Wicked Witch, Peaches will be playing Dorothy who, in this adaptation, has been cleverly renamed ‘Peachy Gale.’ Joining Sharon and Peaches are several San Francisco queens including Suppositori Spelling as the Scare-Ho, Raya Light as the Tin-Tran, Cousin Wonderlette as the Cowardly Lioness, Peggy L’eggs as Glen or Glenda the Good Witch and Annecy as Toto.
Here’s the full synopsis of the production from the show’s Facebook event page:
An earthquake devastates San Francisco and sweet, innocent Peachy Gale falls deep into the earth where she eventually lands and kills some queen with flawless shoes. Peachy mops the ruby red Swarovski covered platforms and is confronted by the wickedly terrifying witch Sharon who threatens Peachy in order to get those shoes… and her little dog too. Peachy’s adventure begins down the yellow brick stage and her quest to get back to San Francisco is a musical filled stage-show extravaganza.”
